Children’s Liturgy plays a vital role in the formation of young Catholics. It recognizes and affirms the unique spiritual needs and capacities of children, allowing them to experience God’s love and message within their own developmental context. They hear and reflect on the scripture readings of the day at a language and comprehension level suitable for their age group.
Children’s Liturgy at Saint Robert’s
Children’s Liturgy is a program at the 9:30 AM Sunday Mass where the children are blessed and then excused before the Scripture readings. They return to their parent(s) during the collection. It is here where the children listen to the Sunday’s Gospel. The Gospel is shared and then discussed with the children as to how it may be applied to their lives during the week. The children’s liturgy is open to all children ages 7 and under.
